Constructure Design Wins Canterbury Award

Constructure staff are this month celebrating sharing in the 2013 NZIA Canterbury Housing Award for is work on a large two-storey Merivale home designed by Matz Architects.

The home features concrete wall panels and large openings and other fascinating elements and the Constructure team was particularly pleased with the stair design.

The jury described the large inner-city suburban house as “an elegant response to its site” which “makes an understated and respectful contribution to its neighbourhood”.

Constructure Team completes Forrest Grape Ride to raise funds for St John

The Constructure team shared in the passion of owner Cory Bedford by completing the Forrest Grape Ride.

The 101km bike race runs from Blenheim to Picton, Havelock and back to Blenheim.
Aside from spending time on a their bikes with their collegues, the Constructure team raised $10,500 for St John.

The 101km ride was not an easy feat for the staff with a variety of experience, from Bobby who had done a Coast to Coast to Mustafa who had never been on a bike before. The team prepared with weekly Wednesday morning team training rides and all got on their bike for a memorable weekend.
